187. 2009 - You suck it bitch!!!

Dear 2009,

I just don't know why am I writing this. You've been such a pain in ass for me.During this long year ,I've lost many things. After a blissful 2008 and a painful 2007 ,I banked on you to bring happiness in my life.I thought you would not be another year and I would cherish every moment that I live in this year. I don't give a bloody damn to you. Since you have hurt me. Firstly I have lost my very own close friends. People who once used to be my good friends disappeared and now they don't wish to be friends with me. I won't curse you since its your time to go.I have wasted all my time in just waiting for something which would change my life. Well it did happen and one day the good news arrived .But Alas! it was late.
Nevertheless you have been kind at times. The birth of my little nephew on 28th March was one of the best moment of this year. You have showered less happiness upon me.Firstly ,everything was against me when I felt I would be at the top. Eventually I landed up in some strange place struggling to get up.I wish I would soar high and attain success. But I was wrong. Recession had still its impact in India and our joining was delayed by 6 months. I didn't make any resolutions just because I fear I will not go by it.I fear for all damn thing in this world. I lost my good friends.Never mind but you know how much they mean to me.It just takes a word to break bonds and relationship. But why such thing happened to me? Why me? .You know how much I miss them. They would be close to me.Just close to me . 2007 was another miserable year just like you.But the amount of pain I suffered then was nothing before you.I was pneumonia struck with broken limb. My studies got hampered so did my happiness. I failed to realize the worth of my life.I just believed that my life was just over for me. But thanks to some one special .I have some one to stand by my side in difficulties, to give me a tight hug and say " Hey Stibumama, I'm here!" . That was the blissful event that happened to me in 2007.2008 was full of fun and happiness in my family.Sisters project in Milan,my campus placement, birth of my niece were few of those things that happened in my life in 2008. 2009 was painful to me and my family.Relationship would break just because of small reasons.I never knew the impact it would create would actually create problems in family.I made really some good friends this year. I would like to thanks Sreya - partner in crime, Vidhu -mot, Karthik,Shruti,Esther Evelyn,Sowmiya and Neha S - circuit. These guys are my wonderful friends. I met some one interesting this year. A girl who did made me smile at times and equally hurt me each time.I never knew people here hated me. She was some one whom I liked. The unusual kind of friendship approach and status messages were different.I thought that I she was more than a friend to me. But she wasn't.Why do you befriend some one if you don't want to? Hurting others is really bad. After last nights chat I lost the respect I had for her.Sorry I considered her as a friend and now I regret for her friendship. It was humiliating for me. The way she treated me at 1 am was an insult for me. Never in my life I would talk to her.I am feeble and feeling low at this time.I regret calling her last night.I don't wish to see her again in my life.

I just wish that 2010 will be a better year to every one of us.
Thanks for messing my life,
~Solitary Writer~

PS:A Very Happy new year to all my dear friends in blog ville and to all my readers ,followers and fans.I love each one of you. Thanks a lot .A happy new year to you and your family

180. Rajni makes everything possible - 3

'Rajnikanth' the name itself is enough. You may have seen him make you cry, smile and laugh with his funny gestures and acts.I would love to say that this evergreen superstar has impressed me with his acts.I can proudly say that he is my favourite actor. The talent this guy possess is appreciable and its significant to say that this guy actually rocks.I actually wrote this post because there is some reason behind this. Our superstar is celebrating his 60th birthday today. He is old but who cares until he is entertaining people. People in TN are crazy behind him. They are big Rajni freaks.
'Rajnism' is the term which is associated with absurdity in most cases. He makes things possible.I have written 2 posts about our great superstar. But I've made mockery of him in those two posts. But I can assure you that this post will see something similar. Let me tell you some historical facts and few things about this great person. Rajni unlike other actors was not rich and ambitious. He was born in a poor farmers family and there was a time when the family struggled for its basic requirements such as food and all. He was struggling during his initial phases of life. He came to Bangalore with few dreams. Before that he worked a carpenter and later switched on to work as a coolie. Despite of suffering various backdrops in life he never gave up.Its his confidence and courage which stood front. He served as a conductor for public buses in Bangalore.Life was miserable until he met Balachander. He was the first to introduce him in a movie and the movie was blockbuster hit.He started his career as villain, anti hero and supporting actor.Later on he turned into a full fledged actor and would produce blockbuster hits.Even today his movies would surpass his previous records.People in TN praise him like almighty and he is no less that god to them. The one thing I like about this Superstar is that although he may be rich and famous today, he is simple. He likes the way he is. 'Simplicity' is something which is one of this character. We get to learn a lot from him.He is the evergreen superstar and I'm glad that I am one of his fan.Once again I would like to wish him a very happy birthday.May he live long and god may shower all his blessings upon him.I'm sure he will act as a hero during his 80's and we all will enjoy it for sure. Thanks a lot O Super star for entertaining us for these 25 years and taking tamil cinema to great heights.Happy birthday to Yuvraj Singh as well and Wishes to Pooja Chopra who is representing India at the beauty contest.

178. A confusing dream or a Nightmare !! :-o

Dreams are a part of our life.Scientists believe that one portion of your brain is reserved for interpreting old memories. It is this portion of your brain which is responsible for something called dreams. It has to do with phsychological state of the person.Trust me some times there are cases where dreams may scare you up. Last night or early morning to be precise I dreamnt something .I am not sure how could a certain group of things arrive at that particular point of time in my dream. It was like watching a feature film where you play a lead protagonist. I felt the same until some group of school kids woke me up at sharp 5.28 am. It was a different thing apart from snakes, ghosts, lizards etc.So I still remember it. So I am going to write about the end I will ask you something and I expect a reply from all you guys out here.
I don't know how we people are closely attached to each other.I could feel a train and would recollect that it was a train journey where we 4 people travelled all the way to Hyderabad to attend my friends function. I knew these four people very well and an amazing part is that we four are geographically distributed in 4 corners of South India. The girl was from Hyderabad ,me and my other friend from Mumbai and the other friend from Bangalore. It follows a strange scenario where we all board the train one by one at different consecutive stations.I still don't know what these guys were doing in Mumbai. Finally we meet each other and sit on our respective seats. I was sittling along with the girl and in front of us my other two friends were sitting.
As usual we spoke lots of interesting things, about India, blogging, movies etc.At one point of time, the train stopped some where near a river in Karnataka. The girl who happened to be my friend had disappeared and my other two friends were sleeping. The train was not moving and due to some engine failure the train won't move for the next 2 hour or so.I peeped out of the window and was shocked to see too many people taking bath in the river. Most of them were naked and I was stunned. As I scanned through the place,I could see my friend washing her clothes.Even she was completely naked.I stared at her for a while and was speechless.I woke my friend from Bangalore and asked him to look at her and asked if whats wrong with these people. He was in half sleep when I woke him up.He saw and slept again. Finally the train started moving. My friend came back. The train was almost empty and we 4 were left alone in the whole bogie. My other two male friends decided to go out to the canteen. They asked both of us to stay together and said that they would return in a while. We waited for around 4 hours but they didn't return back. The train was now empty and we two were present in that bogie. The female friend of mine had told me that she would return in a while after taking a wash. As promised she returned. The train again halted at some unknown place where a school was located. My friend had to change her dress. She was semi naked.I stood aside the train door.
'I guess I would close my eyes,' I said to her.
'Umm,better you do it dude,' She said to me and changed her clothes.
As my eyes were closed I could feel she was staring at me.Even I was staring at her.A group of naughty kids were passing derogatory comments about my friend who was changing her clothes.I had my bag with me which had important documents like passport, driving license etc. They pulled my bag down as I shoed them away.
I left the train to get my bag and I saw that the train had left.My friend was calling me and was sounding frustrated. My other two friends vanished away and I was stranded alone some where in a jungle helplessly looking at the train and my friend.
And suddenly at 5.28 am I got up.

Ok now I could not interpret any thing from this. How on earth would I get to meet people who are just my net friends and I haven't even met them.Is it because that we share something common or anything. The entire scenario reminds me of a suspense thriller movie.I failed to understand why the train stopped and who could be those group of brats who pulled me down from the train, why my female friend was washing her clothese revealing everything near the river and why my male friends suddenly disappeared?.Everything was a tragedy. Now its your turn to say what do you get from this? You know this is the first time I woke up early at 5.28 am in 12 months .

177.All in a days work

177.All in a days work

"This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 5; the fifth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton."
"Don't live down to expectations. Go out there and do something remarkable."
This is one of the most inspiring statement made by famous American Playwright Wendy Waserstein. Just think over it again,do you derive something out of it?.Well to be honest we have many expectations in life. As life progresses ,our expectations increase.Live every moment of your life as it comes.Cherish it to the core. If life is a roller coaster ride, then I would prefer riding on it for the whole day.I would like to bring back the most active ,creative and entertaining period of my life. We entered the University with dreams and ambitions. We expected a lot but things changed when we made an exit. More ambitious we were during those tender young teen age.We planned to do remarkable and wonderful things in our life. We wished to paint our memories in those beautiful dust clad walls of our Alma mater.Mischeif mongers is what people called us during those days. What do you think?.If Wendy's statement was a theorem, then we had the capability to prove it wrong. We were Engineers, we are Engineers.
Let me take you to the beautiful mischievous Engineering days where we wished there were more than 365 days in a year. Permit me to paint your soul with my good old Engineering days. When I learnt that most of the blog a tonics suggested this topic for B-O-T 5 ,I was actually surprised and amazed. "What an Idea ,Sirjee!!" was my first reaction. I would prefer writing a book on this topic, but I want to limit this post to some 500- 600 odd words if time permits me.Engineering days were on of the most memorable period of my life.I remember many eventful things happening in my life. By event ,I mean the disgraceful and unfortunate events that happened during my college days . My college day is not less than any feature film. Let me describe the submission day, where we take utmost risk standing at gunpoint . It was the day when I was bombarded with too many gifts for being a mischief monger. Those were the best gifts that Engineering professors could ever give me on the last day of Semester 5. It was a normal usual day . Early morning in winters are terribly cold . The cloud would be fog cladden reducing visibility. It becomes lazy to get up early morning. For some obvious reasons I forgot to get a note of my 'Red letter day' ie Submissions . Thanks to the Manchester United - Manchester City Derby match the previous night. Being a red devil supporter has often got me into troubles. I got ready with my college sack ( I won't call it a bag,a headache it was ).I went to my college flaunting my Man United jersey with my name 'Anii' written behind in bold letters showing number 33,my life number. Same daily routine of boarding the over crowded train which was filled with testosterone charged men would often turn me off. Whenever a girl entered the boggie ,all wicked eyes would change its focus of attention towards her. Such sicko attitude these guys possessed.Other chunk of boggie contained people who don't brush their teeth regularly. Thanks to the bright yellow teeth exhibition.Mumbai local train commuters have always been a good exhibitionist and they are good at such things .I've been a good observer and even today I've been observing things. I planned to enter my class with a slight hope of getting an entry. Our class would always be imbued with talented girls and yes some are beautiful too.

"Go away Anii," the girl sitting on the first bench whispered. I learnt the signal and left for our 'adda'. Our college canteen used to be our adda. We've spend most of our time sight seeing & bird watching in our college. Some guys would try to impress the junior girls and some would try flaunting their talents and skills. The corner of the canteen was reserved for our gang.It was located to right of the door.It is the place where we learnt the art of translating our sorrows into happiness. Wondering what kind of sorrows, yes I am talking about the teachers constant bombardment of assignments and projects.Canteen is the place where we converted the sorrows of writing assignments into an entertaining ,melodramatic and rather fun oriented writing session. I had my gang desperately waiting for me. They welcomed me as usual in front of all the beautiful girls. We had a Vending machine in our college canteen. We have to insert notes and coins to get the desired product. I was given 50 Rs by a good friend and was asked to get few items.I did as per the orders before we started the 'Voh meri - voh teri' game which used to be our daily routine.I inserted the 50Rs note in the machine and guess what it made my day.It gave few items along with a 500 Rs note. Thank god the operator wasn't standing nearby. Later on we started the game. The girl who enters the canteen will be the guys date. Practically its the person who enters the canteen who could be a teacher, girl, boy, canteen boy and so on.This would follow the sequence. My good friend got the canteen mama as usual and as usual we used to taunt him by calling his name. For the first time in life, I got a beautiful girl who was associated with me in this dumb testosterone charged bloody stupid game. I actually preferred refraining from such obnoxious activities, but couldn't just remain numb most of the time. Ogling at girls is really bad and a big sin as per the holy bible.God Forbid! Later on we completed our journals. Our journals were incomplete and we had a big task ofcompleting it.Nishi gave us an exciting news of we being featured into the 4th defaulters list. It was expected but not at that particular moment. I had to hobble because of the sprain on my ankle. I was rather unhappy with the statistics. I failed to break my previous attendance record.I had registered my second lowest attendance of 11 % ,8 % being my Engineering lowest. We were wanted by our HOD. We were persistently asked the reasons for not attending lectures. We had to listen our HOD's lecture the umpteenth time. But we do respect and honour him. It was an embarrassing moment of my life and only then we realized how shameless we were when we gave him an innocent 'bachhoo' smile. They were planning to call our parents which suddenly changed the state of our mind. Our smiles changed into frown. He told that he will take punitive actions but the matter was settled as we were asked to solve 5 years University papers of each subject. Our submissions were discarded and our works were not accepted. We 17, sat till 8 pm and completed a set of around 35 papers along with the pending assignments and journal work.It was like giving your neck to someone and get it strangled. We invited the problems and we regretted for the same.We deserved it,but it was only a practice session for us.We left for our home with swollen fingers resulting from too much of writing work. Tendons in our muscle would not budge.Disgraceful and unfortunate things happened in my life in that sem which reflected on my semester marks and term works. I failed to realize that I had my Campus placement sessions next semester. It was a fiasco of my engineering days where I learnt a good lesson. It was a normal day ,a fruitless day for sure but a day which we could never forget. We did everything on our S day. After all it was all in a days work.Life is a collection of memories. If life were a paper we could have had a photocopy of it.But alas! it isn't ,only such memories brings a smile to your face when something reminds you of those episode. It may be sad ,may be bad.It was just another day in my life which changed my life..
From an Engineers diary.

176. Mommy, I saw the 'Bogey Mon' !!!

“Vinu ,where are you, daa?,” The young mother of 23 screamed at the top of her voice.

“Oh god!!,” she was worried for some reason.

Their life changed as they shifted to Sydney. Vinu was just a baby and she had a lot to worry about. Aaina’s husband was a chartered accountant in a bank in Australia.

Her heart beat rapidly as her eyes failed to locate her kid.

“Hello Abhi, please come home,I’m worried,” she spoke to her husband Abhijit.

Little Vinu was an adorable and a naughty boy. Her eyes scanned through all the rooms, balcony and the corridors.Aaina started sweating profusely as she could not find her baby anywhere.

She tried to fulfil all basic needs of Vinu.Vinu was her life. Vinu was just 2 yrs old and what if some one kidnapped him. Several thoughts were running through her mind. Time flew like anything . The clock struck 5 and she was weeping.

Last week Vinu wanted to meet St.Nicholas, the Santa Claus. He used to call him as ‘Bogey Mon’. Aaina and Abhi were so busy that they could not fulfil their little kid’s wish of seeing Santa Claus.

Her eyes displayed a gamut of emotions. Her cheeks were moist with tears. She started cursing herself. Aaina’s frustration mounted high as time passed. Abhi’s number was still unreachable.

The fear of losing Vinu would not let her stop crying.

“Hello,Hello!,” she was tired of calling her husband again and again.

She locked the door and tucked the key on her blouse. She started searching for Vinu admist heavy snowfalls. It was winter in Australia and the temperature outside was unbearable.Despite of such harsh weather conditions ,she did not give up She was upset. Her face was red as she came back to home.

‘Mommy!! ‘Bogey Mon’ came to our house,” Vinu hugged his mother tightly.

She heaved a sigh of relief when she saw her kid back in home. Vinu showed the gifts that Santa gave him.

“Aww Baby, you met Santa it seems,” she kissed her son on his cheeks.

“Where is your’ Bogey man’ ?,” Aaina smiled.

“He ran away,” Vinu was playing with the gifts that Santa presented him.

She called Abhi to inform him about Vinu.

At night ,she told her husband about Vinu’s sudden disappearance.

“Aainu, so any guesses about Vinu’s ‘Bogey Mon’ ? ,” Abhi winked and they cuddled.
