Indi - Pak bhai bhai

Today is the 1st day of August  and to continue with my daily routine of killing bugs with a glass full of water and watching Dave and Cody on Discovery Channel , I plan to write something. I tell  you that  I have really made and met many people here on blogworld .Sometimes it makes me wonder if I were the same in real world and virtual world. We can't express ourself in real world where everything  and everyone  seem to you like a crocodile waiting for  you to eat you. There seems to be some sort of disturbance  and your innocence fail in front of that. Let me tell you that the worst thing in life is to express yourself. You do that  perfectly in  Blogs and like minded people read you and appreciate you.

To make few friends you must have atleast come across few enemies. This is  the tagline of the movie "The Social Network". Quite True. Why on Earth would anyone tend to make enemies?. I am here to make friends and not enemies. I am an Indian. People think that Indians and Pakistani's are one of the worst enemies. First let me tell you that we were one before  division way back in 1947. How great it would be if there was no division. Things would definitely would have changed . I am here to talk about Indo Pak friendship. I have made many good Pakistani friends recently. So when I say blogging and Pakistan ,there are few things which flash on my mind. And these few things relates to my blogger buddies.  So here goes my post about these wonderful girls.

Asbah is my best friend who hails from Islamabad and my partner in crime .Our thought process is same and we founded 'The Writers Lounge'  on 17th July 2008. This was one memorable day for us. Asbah, whom I admire and who inspires me has always been my best buddy in blogworld. I still remember the first time when I spoke to her.She was too sweet and guess what .Today I spoke to her after a long time and I felt good. Asbah, our dearest Islex is  someone whom we love.

Insiya, my cute little blogger sister hails from Karachi. She is a wonderful writer and a sweet person. She was the one who wished me on my birthday few years ago and I found it great. I lost touch with her but I surely would love to meet her and talk to her.

So ,here comes the active blogger. She comes from Lahore .She is a beautiful female blogger. Let me Introduce my buddy Mehreen. She is someone who who inspires me to write. I admire the zest and the zeal  in her whenever she comes with something new.She writes well and trust me I am keen to learn from her. But only if she accepts me as her disciple. She is curious to know what I am writing about her now. :P .She has a good company of friends and a large number of followers. And Oh yeah ,we do poke each other on Facebook. I have this experience of accidentally commenting on her status message and could not avoid some 90 notifications. All thanks to Aisha and Iqrah :P :P

Kiran Ashraf is one of my regular readers ..Kudos to her ...Love you dearie..God bless you too

Apart from these beautiful girls who hail from Islamabad,Karachi and Lahore...I have few other friends too but they are not close to me unlike these wonderful women. They are the best. God bless our friendship and God bless India and Pakistan.

Pearl in the Ocean

This is my entry for the Monsoon Madness @ Lounge contest at the Writers Lounge
‘Daddy, Can I ask you something ?,’ Little Tarun asked his father Muthu.
‘Sure dear, whats that you want to ask?’ , Muthu said
He got a mirror and compared their faces . ‘Why do we look different Daddy?’ A shade of innocence twinkled through Taruns eyes as he asked this to his Father.
‘I am so fair and you are  dark ,’ He said.
Neha was  listening to all this what Tarun spoke.
‘Come dear, you need to get dressed for school,’ Neha interrupted and  took her son with him. She looked at  her husband Muthu who smiled  back at her.
‘Nature has its way of telling certain things. Everyone looks  like their parents dear,’ Muthu said to Tarun as he carried him over his shoulder for  school  .
‘But Appa, then I should look like you ,no ?’ Innocent Tarun said to his father.
‘Common Son, I don’t know how to say.I will tell you some day’  He refused to answer his son’s question
At school ,kids would tease Tarun by calling him ‘Dark Knight’s  Fair Son ’ He was an adorable kid of 6.He was wheatish in complexion unlike Muthu.  Days passed by , but Muthu could not answer Tarun when he was confronted with the same question again and again.
Tarun was  growing and his hatred towards his father  increased.
‘Daddy , I think mom  should attend the  PTA meeting at school  and I don’t want to get embarrassed ,’  15 yr old Tarun said to his Father Muthu .
Muthu found himself deviating from his son. Neha ,at times would explain Tarun about his father’s sorrow and how much it hurts  Muthu when he asked him such question. Tarun often  gave a deaf ear to her.
‘If you wish so Son.Neha will attend the PTA,’  Muthu said.
‘Daddy ,you never answer my question .Why are you dark  and how come I am fair? ’ Tarun asked as he got dressed up.
‘Time will tell...,’ Muthu smiled.
Tarun was growing up into a strong handsome man.All girls in his college would wish to be his girlfriend.Such was his beauty and the spell he cast  upon all the girls. He was 23 year old by then . Since childhood he hated his  father just because he was dark. He never realized how much  it hurt his dad.   He was never attached to his father.

Two years later Tarun won the ‘Young Enterpreneur Award’  and his family was invited to attend the  Award Ceremony . Muthu was excited  to  see his son getting the award from  the President of India. But little did he knew that Tarun had forbidden  him from  attending  the ceremony. He took his mother with him . It hurt Muthu a lot. Neha tried hard to explain Tarun but he didn’t budge.
The Award ceremony started at 7 pm. One could see  guests in form of business magnets and filmstars seated on the first row . Tarun was  given the ‘Young Enterpreneur Award’ by the President of  India. The President called  his mother to talk few words about her son. Neha was too hurt as her husband Muthu didn't accompany her.
‘Good evening  friends..’ Neha started
‘As you all might know my son Tarun has won the prestigious award from the President. It makes me proud and I am very happy at this moment,’ She continued and Tarun’s face beamed with pride.

‘Let me tell you about  him. No one here would hate your father just because he looked  different than you. After all a dad is a dad. This  young man standing here hates his father just because his father Mr Muthu Swami was dark. I am going to answer his question which he asked his father when he was 6. We are Tarun’s foster parent. We found him in a trash bin near our locality. We found him cute and Muthu decided to take him home,’ Her eyes turned moist as she said.

‘But today he refused to accept that person as his daddy. He is a pearl in the ocean which every kid would ask for. He is the best father in this world ,’ She continued.
A tear drop rolled down  Taruns cheeks as he heard his mother saying all this.
Later that evening when they reached home, he found a letter on his computer table.

Dear Son,
Today I am going to answer your question. You asked me why we both look different? Why I  am dark  and you are fair? I want you to know that me and Neha are not your real parents. I don’t want to listen all this. You don’t know how much you hurt me all these years. I’m going..

Love ,

‘Appa.....I’m sorry.. I love you are the best ’ Tarun wept

Mothers Love!

People sometimes say that a mothers love is beyond boundaries. How much does she loves her kids is unmeasurable. I recently came across a documentary which exhibits a mothers love for her son who is abnormal. He is a special child who can't talk and seemed to be suffering from a major illness. It got tears into my eyes when I saw that but couldn't refrain myself from watching the entire Documentary. Why does God punishes people who are good to others. This woman in the documentary could not concieve for 7 years. After 7 years, She gave birth to a wonderful baby boy but only to find that he was abnormal. His hands were distructured.

"God..what have I done to you that you forsake me? Today , I do not have anything to give to my kid for what he deserves. " These words from the mothers eyes really made me cry.

This made me realize the importance of a mother. How many of you in your life are lucky enough to be with your mother. But we have hurt her many times. We might have spoken words against her which we shouldn't. Holy Bible says to honour your mother and father. But practically how many of you even do that. Offcourse she is the one who has done everything for you when you were kid.She sacrificed her life for you so that you may enjoy all the luxuries which she didn't when she was a child.Just ponder and think for a while. I have always wrote about this topic whenever I get time. It takes 20 years for a mother to make a man out of her child. Lets not forget what she has done for you. I wish everyone realized their parents worth.I couldn't find the video in internet but I will surely try to get it from somewhere.
Till then may peace be with you all....

God bless!!

Kya Shock Laga??

Disclaimer : This is based on my imaginations and  the names used here are really fiction and got nothing to do with anyone living or dead.

This post is written for BLOGESHWAR and Campusghanta

Once I happened to bump into my  friends flat. He  thought of narrating me his experience in Bangalore. I thought it would be fun but nevertheless  he made it sound serious. My friend lets say SRK was posted to Bangalore after his training. It was a completely different and an alien  city for him. He was alloted a  guest house for one week. After that he had to vacate the room and search for a new home. He tried his level best for a new home.Alas! he couldn't find one  .He'd made a new friend at his bangalore office in form his Manager lets say Karan. His manager lived alone and he was searching for a flat mate.By no time ,he offered a room to SRK .At first SRK hesitated. SRK soon realized that his manager was a kind man and was a gentleman for sure. He nodded his head and left for his new home. Soon there was peace at home and SRK was known to be a discipline lover. He believes that cleanliness is next to godliness. Every day he would get up early and do the daily cleaning chores. To impress his manager he would do everything. Days passed by and they both became good friends.

It was one fine Saturday night and my friend SRK and his boss  Karan were returning back from a movie. SRK and Karan now became best friends. Everyone at office believed that SRK was close to  their boss Karan that they  started thinking that they both were having extra marital affairs. Well my friend SRK never knew all this and even though if he knew all that then I am damn sure he would give a deaf ear to all the gossips about him and his boss Karan. Annual appraisals were approaching and everyone was sure that SRK would get an A+ and 40 % increment. But little did they knew that SRK was a hard work and not a boss's buttlicker. Although he shared his room with his boss ,SRK was clean at heart and was only attracted towards females. Appraisal results were out and SRK as expected  by everyone got A+ and 40% hike. He believed that it was his dedication and diligence at work which helped him achieve this merit. The same night there was something else in stores for him.

He entered the home and saw his boss Karan preparing dinner for him. SRK was amazed and Karan's gesture had impressed him.
"Hey sweety SRK ,come man," Karan's seductive approach frightened SRK. He was flummoxed by this action of his boss and he was scared for once.

"Come na ,darling come sit close to me baby, " Karan added  to which  SRK turned a straight face.
"Sir, I'm not the one whom you are thinking," SRK said.
" I'm straight and I've a beautiful  girlfriend to whom I am getting married next year," SRK added.

"Oh no !baby ...don't tell this...your love for me might be fake ..but my love for you is true...24Karat Gold honey!! ...why don't you understand it..," Karan sobbed.

"I don't want our relationship to fizzle.. and end drastically ," He wept

"Gibberish!what non sense....what relationship.." SRK got furious for once.

"Darling...come na...come close to me...," Karan said and went near SRK.
"Shooo go away ...i am not your types...go go get lost ....," SRK tried to escape from Karan.

The next day SRK left the flat. He went to the office and everyone started cracking jokes on him and their boss Karan. They all declared SRK and Karan as true lovers and some referred them as Gay. But only my friend SRK knew that he was straight and it was then he realized why people  never became friends with Karan.

I could not stop laughing when my friend narrated me this story. I almost died laughing.

How many of you have come across such things in life? . Every day I see same sex couples who love each other. Even girls love girls and so on in case of guys. We admire their caring and love but in todays  generation it makes one raise their eye brows  when they come across such people. Yes they are humans too and they have their own feelings but nevertheless its a shock to the culture. Apart from this there are several other issues too. I came across a case where a 13 year old  kid got his 14 year old girlfriend pregnant and sooned  she gave birth to a beautiful baby . I was wondering  that things which we did in our early twenties are done by kids in their early teens. Yes, the world is changing and so is the culture. Rapes everyday,Incests etc are shocking and they degrade things.Even a 6 year old kid these days has a girlfriend. I used to carry the big sack of books when I was 6 year old. My 3 year old neice has a cell phone. Whaaaaaat!!!!! Believe me!. Its true.Kya...Sahi mei Shock Laga yeh sab sunke!!!

I love you - 2

Disclaimer - This is a work of fiction.

continued from part 1 .

'So I guess we can proceed ,' The new entrant spoke

'Everyone meet Miss. Aanya Sethi , the head of Telus  group,' and Mr Goel smiled as he introduced  Aana to the group member who attended the meeting.

'Hey guys , I hope y'all are doing great,' Aana smiled.

Arush smiled as  she spoke. She seemed to be an entirely different person. He soon learnt that she was none other than the lady whom he met at the beach. A trendy fashionable woman wearing the least of the clothes looked like a traditional woman. She wore a heavily embroidered Punjabi suit which exhibited her originality, the place where she belonged too. 'Aana' reminded her of the bikini girl who wore the polka dotted knickers. It made him think how people exhibit different personalities within no time. She was a good enterpreneur and a brilliant person and she belonged to an affluent, well reputated family.

'We are here to discuss the impact of economic global recession on our business  , why have we gathered here? Whats the purpose of this meet ?. How can we stabilize  the growth?,' Mr.Goel asked .

'Well ...growth seems to be an essential phenomenon and obviously GDP of this country would  determine how the nation progresses. Currently IT has been a a great  disaster and it is highly impacted by  the business failure,' Aana spoke without nictating her eyes.

Arush stared and smiled at her.
'Do you have any doubts Mr.Arora?,' Aana asked Arush.
'You seemed to be distracted anyway and this is not a matter to smile Sir,' she burst upon him.

Within a swift of a second, the conference room went silent. Everyone  looked at Arush and it was embarassing for him.

'No...I was listening to what you were proceed ,' He said.

How could a jovial girl change into an aggresive one within no time .Clearly she seemed to be a phenomenon to him.
Finally ,the meeting got over in 2 hours. Everyone were  leaving to their  hotel rooms.

Aana came near Arush and sought apologies.
'I think I need to be sorry,' She said to him.
'Ahh!! never mind you just displayed your multiple personalities.....,' He said with a straightface.
'Oh yeah...excuse me,' She was bewildered.
'I mean ... from bikini to Indian suit and jolly to got my point,' Arush winked at her.
'Well that is Aaana for dumbo's ,' She laughed

'Whatever girl!!!,' Arush seemed to have been carried away by talking to her.

'Well , you and me .... at Cafe Villa Sol 8 ,' She said.
'Bye Naughty boy  ..,'She left.

Arush was completely taken aback by her behaviour. She was a complete enimga for him. She was  mystery and for a moment he realized that he had failed to learn her.

They both met each other at 8 pm at Cafe Villa Sol. She looked like a party girl this time .She was wearing a decent outfit this time. She was wearing a purple outfit. Not like the one which she wore at the meeting. Her hair was left loose and  she displayed her tattoo ,thanks to her low waist jeans.

'Hey guy,' She hugged him.
'Hello Aana,' He smiled at her.

'Hey check this out....' She said and  she  asked him to look at  her waist.  She had  tattooed a Centaur.
'yes it is looking great ..but why a centaur holding a bow and arrow,' Arush replied back.

'Dumb that you are...Dude ,i am Sagitarian and I wont explain you anymore,'  She said.

'Where did you Study and you look  handsome today?' She added.

'Well nothing great...did my Engineering from IIT-Madrass and MBA in Finance from IIM-Bangalore, and what about you'  He smiled.

'Well I am a pauper in terms of Studies...a dumb chick sure you want to know my alma mater,' She said..
'Certainly I would love to,' Arush  took a sip of the Teqilla shots.
'Haha why, are you hiring me or what...Haaah,' She said
'Haha ..Engineering from IIT - Bombay and MBA from Howards,' She smiled

'Ok I get your sarcasm ....and you are looking too beautiful today,' He said.
'I am completely amazed by your dressing sense and today I saw you in 3 different outfits. You look beautiful everytime I look at you,' He added.

'Idiot...i am not don't even know how to flirt,' She giggled to which Arush looked at her with a straight face.

'Well...the guru is my blessings and I shall teach you how to flirt,' She smiled at her.

'Ok Guru ji....' He winked at her.

'1 - Use balanced words...too much flattery makes you fake,' She started with the flirting tips.
'2- Laugh at her jokes when she says something...Understand Women love compliments and appreciations by men,' She winked at him.
'3-Sexual/Bodily talks are a strict No No unless and until you are dating her. There can be a refined and a crisp way of talking,'She continued.
'4-Give her a compliment and let her keep guessing and curious  ,' She smiled.
'Okay ,' He acknowledged back.
'Remember Balance,Compliments and Curiosity are the three golden words,' She said.

'You look beautiful today,' He said to her.
'Ahun, Thank you..' She smiled at her,

'You are looking great today,' He continued.
'Ahaa...thank you ..thank you...' she said.

'You are too sweet,' He said .
'Whaaa...I can't take it when some men harp on the same string again and again and such men bore me,' She said for once.
'Was kidding... you are one talkative intelligent girl whom I have met till now...and  to be frank such Talkative Intelligent girls attract me,' Arush  spoke softly.

'See...Guruji's flirting lessons are reflecting in your words....Awesomeness....' She giggled.
'Can I ask you something ?? ,' He said.
'I hope you won't feel bad after  I ask you?,'  he added.
'It depends on your question dude,' She said with a straight face.

'Ok ...can i have your number please? ,' He said.
' scared me.... 9856323143 .. give me a missed...,' She said
'I have cancelled my return ticket and planning to stay her for a week and when are you going back,' He curiously asked her.
'Next Saturday off to Delhi....,' She said.

'Can I ask you something which is bothering me right now? he said.
'What now...ask me man...', She said.

'I don't know how to say that...but I can feel butterflies fluttering in my stomach..,' She said.
' ask ...shoot it...' she said.
'I wanted to ask you this since long but....,' He said.
