Cupid Games, Proposing your crush!

February 14th is nearing! Most of the Whatsapp groups have started circulating the date sheets of different days – Rose, Propose, Chocolate, Teddy, Promise, Kiss, Hug, Valentines, Slap, Kick, Perfume, Flirting, Confession, Missing and Break up days etc. Before you start wondering on the different days that belong to you, I think I could rather try something different this time.   Many of you might be having crush on someone during different phases of your life. So, would you muster enough courage this time to spill the beans and tell them what your heart has been hiding since long!  My heart grabbed the attention of a charming young girl who is not only beautiful but also a diehard fan of our Prime Minister Mr. Modi. Perhaps she used to follow him closely – all his speeches and recordings. May be that’s why I realized that she had been calling me ‘Vikas’ quite a number of times. But I didn’t mind! I would happily smile whenever she addressed me as Vikas. Most of our conversation has been related to different discussions related to development, women security and empowerment. We would talk for hours and sadly I never got bored. All that my heart saw was her beauty. I found her attractive and she was different from other girls. She aspired to be a leader at some point of time. I would smile at her whenever she spoke to me about developments and different security policies.  Last year during the Lok Sabha elections, she would talk nice things about our PM and convinced me to vote for him.

“Vikas… see how Gujarat has developed.. Dude this man is a great leader and people of our country should elect him as our PM…I seriously wish so yar…. Whom will you vote?”  She used to ask me.

“I would vote for the man who would help in the development of our country…” I would say and smile at her.  She would acknowledge me  with a smile.

Development…Development….Developing…Development of the era of the Developing Development…….

She would never get tired of  the Development talks. But I truly adore her and sometimes I feel I could not think of a life without this Development Minister who took away  my life like a storm.
So, my plans for the day would be to impress her. I would love to impress her to such an extent that she should accept my proposal that moment itself. But that was a herculean task. So this is what would happen on 14th February.

14th Feb, 2015

I waited outside the Coffee shop to meet her. I stood there staring at my wrist watch as it displayed 17:35. We were supposed to meet at 5.30 PM. She ceremoniously walked towards me and smiled at me. I realized that this was the smile that stole my heart. She looked beautiful today. Her eyes almost killed me. Every time she blinked her eyes, my heart pulsated. Her arched eyebrows equally complimented her eyes. She wore charcoal dark kohl that adorned her looks. With an appealing nose and equally attractive rosy lips, she truly stood out as the brand ambassador of beauty. I was enjoying every moment with her.

“Vikas Dude, I loved the photograph of Modi ji with Barrack Obama and his wife. That’s such a lovely picture. It describes the relationship between India and the United States.” She said, brushing the strands that reached her eyes.

I realized that she was talking about the photograph that I had sent to her on the Whatsapp messenger.

We remained silent for a while.
“I’m a very optimistic man and only an optimistic man can bring optimism in the country,” I said. She smiled at me and said, “You are inspired by our prime minister.haan?” It was Narendra Modi’s quote.

“I’m a very optimistic man and only an optimistic man like me can bring optimism in this relationship of ours. I want to be the Narendra Modi in your life and do a Vikas on our relationship.”I added.

“People ask me what is your vision, what is your big vision? I say bhai I got here by way of selling tea. I am a simple man. I like focusing on simple and small tasks. I want to accomplish big things for the little guy,” I said.

“Similarly, when people ask me what is your vision, what is your big vision? I say them, my vision is to be with this girl who loves Modi ji and love her like how Modi loves our country. I am a simple man.  I want to love her for who she is and what she is.”  I added.
She remained stunned and listened to me what I was talking about.

“I did not get an opportunity to die for the country, but I have got an opportunity to live for the country.”

“Similarly, I did not get an opportunity to meet you before. But I now have got an opportunity to let you know what I feel for you. I want to live for you and make our life beautiful. I want us to tread through the paths of joy and swim across the oceans of happiness and paint beautiful colors on this life that the Almighty has given us.” I said my version of Modi’s quote.

She looked at me with a straight face and carefully listened to my words.

“There is no reason to be disappointed. India will progress very fast and the skills of our youth will take India ahead,” I continued.

“Similarly, there is no reason to be disappointed. Life will go on. I expressed what I feel for you.  I assume you too think the same way what I think about you.”

“We do not need Acts but Action. Once we decide we have to do something, we can go miles ahead. We are not here for any positions but for a responsibility. I will make such a wonderful India that all the Americans will stand in line to get a visa for India.” I uttered our PM’s quotes.

“Similarly, you could see my actions well. For once I have decided to do paint your life with beautiful colors; I will take you to the place where happiness resides. I am not saying all this to impress you. I want you to know what place you hold in my life. I will make your life wonderful to such an extent that you will love me forever!”
She almost had tears in her eyes.

“Vikas, you seriously did all this for me. You read all his quotes for me? I can’t believe you did this for me,” she said, tears of happiness rolling down her cheeks.

“Mitron, agar mujhe choona jaye….to main yeh waaada karta hu ki mei tumhari zindagi mei se saara dukh nikaaal dunga. Mei waada karta hu ki tumhari zindagi mei main khushiyo so bhar dunga ( Friend, If I am elected, I promise that I will remove all the sorrow from your life and instill it with lots of happiness),” I  modified a famous dialogue of Modi to serve my purpose.

“Will you elect me for the post of a prime minister in your life. I promise I will make you happy and I would love you  forever. I will not let melancholy  haunt your life. Together we will lead a happy life. Will you say yes  to Vikas?”

There was a deafening silence for a while and she asked me, “But where is the Voting Machine, I want to vote for you.”

“Yes, I adore you, my dear cute prime minister,” she replied. My heart skipped a beat as she said yes to my proposal.

“I love you Vikas. I will elect you,” she said and smiled at me. We both hugged each other.

“And between I’m not Vikas..hope you remember my name,” I said, winking at her.

“Oh I do and yeah henceforth I would call you Vikas..I simple love this name..” She said.

“Oh yeah, Vikas.” I said.

And that’s how Narendra Modi Quotes helped me hike my position as a friend to a lover in my Crush’s life.

“Yay!”
