Saying no to some one is the most difficult thing to do! Of course no one would ever want to say No to someone – be it their peers, boss or their near and dear ones.  It can indeed broke bonds and hurt others but there are several good reasons of saying no. How often would you create dependencies at work? I believe in the adage that – Give a man  a fish, he will eat for the day. Teach him how to fish, he will eat for a lifetime. People need to come out of the shell and do their task themselves. But it takes a great courage to say no to your boss. I have observed many people who directly say no to their bosses! If you say yes to others then don’t hesitate to do their work too! Well that’s how the world works. If you say  No, then they would ignore you so learn to say no. It is a great art but a difficult one to master! Sometimes do state reasons for saying No. Saying No should be accompanied by reasons. You are the person answerable to that!

I have had many people in my professional life who advise me to say No. They would say that people would take you for granted and bombard you with their work if you say Yes to them! Well that’s true too!

So if someone comes to you and asks for some favour what would you say? Yes or No !
